WHO`S YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST

Today I`m going to talk about my favorite artist. I painter and I think I like many artist, but my favorite artist is Francis Bacon.

Francis Bacon is a british painter, he borned in Dublin-Irland 1909. Bacon is a figurative artist who deform the bodies in schematic background, he represented the human figure and face in an expressive often grotesque style, make scenes that suggest, alienation, violence, and suffering.

I like all the paintings of Bacon, but one of my favorites pieces is "Head I" because is a figure that confuse me, the bust have a kind of head with a inverted mouth, also I like the contrast and the different types of brush-strokes for solve the composition.

       

Bacon influence me in many ways, because in my paintings I work with human figure, I distort these forms too, and I work with different contrast, solving of different ways the painting application, I would like achieve a figure in an ambiguous state like Bacon, but I pretend make it not only with the model, also with the background. I like the Bacon`s attitude for deal his work, I think is very interesting like this artist work with the painting´s accident, trying to break the process.
